After my normal post Easter day off (minus the 9 hr drive) decided to try and continue the training. Actually might get fit. Ran 8.3 km as I have planned to challenge the Prendergast family to a 5 mile challenge in March to keep us all motivated. Did the 8.06km (five mile) in 55 min. Died and really struggled after 5km. Good thing it is going to be handicapped.
Last day of our Easter O weekend. Same start as yesterday. Put out tapes for Judy on 2.5km course then went exploring on and unmapped section. Found another Cherry Tree.
Fortunately for us we live in a forest and can go orienteering without travelling. Course today was about 3km into the forest. Long day of Easter so set Judy a course with some long legs. Well long for her. Really lovely in the forest. One day of easter to go. Not sure about relay style course for 1. Will produce something close to home.
Day 2 of Easter. Middle distance. Set a course for Judy and then hung tapes. Following around to pick them up I caught her at control 4 of 12 so then went my own way and jogged on tracks to get to 6km.
First Day of Easter. Set a sprint course for Judy in Bunninyong, hung tapes and then did the course again to collect the tapes. Map not perfect as not complete and open areas are still mapped as white. However it did work well and Judy found it slightly challenging.
