Swim 30:00 [3] 1.1 km (27:16 / km)

Its been a long time since my last swim and it really showed. Still worlds faster than Wally but only really able to blob along at one fairly slow speed. My goggles gave me a convenient excuse to rest every 50m as they completely filled up with water - really need to replace them otherwise they will drive me nuts.

It was a pleasant suprise to discover I am now swimming normally not with the weird adjusted technique I developed post knee op.

Legs and body tired and sleepy afterwards - felt very soft!

Physio Exercises 15:00 [3]

Knee not really happy and struggling on the squats - I was hoping it would improve with a week off running but it really hasnt.

Paddle 1:30:00 [3] 8.0 km (11:15 / km)

A fun morning trying out everyones different skis. Decided I didnt like the Mentor because of the deck shape making leg driving impossible and uncomfortable - shame it seemed quite fast. Also didnt like the Finn Molaki which was like paddling a barge with my legs straight out because the foot plate couldnt come any closer. Enjoyed the PRS which I think I can paddle slightly faster than my V10 L because its more stable and the Think which is comparable to the V10 sport.

Won the door challenge by cheating as I didnt really paddle but use the door as an oversized kickboard.

Cycle 50:00 [3] 16.9 km (2:58 / km)
shoes: Crap bike

Moderate ride in. Overtook a few people on the way to Canning bridge (one up a hill). Briefly caught a roadie as I got on the freeway but he saw me hook on and set a pace that was just a bit too hard for me (funnily enough both leg strength and cardio wise - maybe I am starting to get stronger, or more likely I am coming down with a cold) so I backed off and had a lonely ride in instead.

Not feeling very motivated to ride or run this week - knee is just starting to niggle again with the addition of running and physio exercises - and I wonder how long before it blows up again. Also out of wack from staying up to watch the Tdf - cant get to sleep and hence having trouble waking up on time. moan, moan, moan...

Cycle 53:00 [3] 16.9 km (3:08 / km)
shoes: Crap bike

A little grumpy as I had trouble falling asleep last night and spent a bit of time staring at the ceiling listening to Wal's regression into snoring. Mood not helped by Wal waking me up with hands I think he had been cooling down in the freezer.

Nothing in the legs to fight the northerly wind so I had a very slow ride into work with both knees niggling at me due to tight muscles.

Cycle 45:00 [3] 16.9 km (2:40 / km)
shoes: Crap bike

And home again.

Feeling a little bit stronger than this morning - maybe the wind was on my side this time.
7 PM

Physio Exercises 15:00 [3]

Actually managed to do 10 x SUFS on my left leg with no support - getting better at this!
