Note
(injured)
My Achilles has been aching all day again. It is so very sensitive at the moment that walking around at work is enough to keep it going. My plan is to avoid running until I can walk a couple of days without feeling any discomfort. I have looked through my old logs and it seems as it usually takes 1-2 months for the inflammation to go down. My motivation for alternative training is a little low for the moment (plus that I really don't know what I can do without irritating the ankle) so I may take a break from training this spring and do something else.

Tuesday Mar 4

Strength 30:00 [1]
weight:161lbs (injured)
Very easy leg strength.
Swimming 25:00 [2]
Swimming at Newton North. It was one of those days when I regretted not paying $18 to swim at Newton YMCA instead of $6 to swim at the HS. The water had a funky green-brown color and there were puddles with clearly brown water on the floor. There was also water dripping from the ceiling, which also had an unhealthy color. The swim guard did, however, promise that the water should be safe to swim in and that the swim team used the pool earlier during the day so Mark and I jumped in after some hesitation. We are both still feeling fine (Wednesday) so the water was hopefully OK and the color only due to rust and other minerals dripping down from the ceiling. But I may swim somewhere else next time...

Monday Mar 3

Strength 30:00 [2]
Mainly core and arms.
