Running long 1:14:40 [3] 13.35 km (5:36 / km)
Pre breakfast from accommodation out on the backroads. Beautiful morning and felt really at home, super quiet countryside. Loving life until the road I was on had to go passed some farm buildings where there was a ‘beware of the dog sign’. I told myself I was on a road so keep going as might not even see it and could always turn around. As I ran past the buIldings I looked into yard to see if I could see them and when I turned around the dog was actually right in front of me on the road! I stopped running and took one step forward and the dog got up. I told myself it was a Labrador or something like that and they’re not big scary bad dogs but then it stared barking. I decided to turn around but it followed me but just barking and not actually coming too close aggressively so actually managed to go past and continue the planned loop. I did walk until I was well clear and the dog just happily sat back down. I was actually proud of how calm I remained but it wasn’t very nice - reminded me of the stables up Hartrigge and why I am not an animal person. Anyway the rest of the run continued to be as nice as the first part.
Note
Stomach well and truely gone, suffering badly. Mixture of too much stress, abuse of wheat intolerance and wrong time of month, no wonder it’s given up. Luckily after giving me a bit of grief on Friday it waited until this evening to properly go so I could enjoy the weekend...
