Running race 18:24 [5] 5.0 km (3:41 / km)

Know I'm not in pb shape but this is progress (30secs+ ) quicker than any other this year. Still went off too fast . Reasonably content.

Note
(rest day)

Early start and spent most of the day travelling.
Time to reflect on weekend although major negatives with some of my worst sprint orienteering in a long time, some positives to take too. Great team to be part of. Excited to try again in a few weeks.

Running 16:30 [3]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Sayonara 2

Morning stretch of the legs along the river with some of the team.

Running warm up/down 31:00 [3]
shoes: Saucony Kinvara TR2

Laps of the track before. Then some speeding up and drills.
Jog after with Laura and Annina.

Orienteering race 19:34 [5]
shoes: Saucony Kinvara TR2

Last leg. Basically didn't see anyone so not much of a sprint relay as went out near the back. Again some sub optimal routes and stopped too early after spectator but no panicking today and some good parts to build on.

Definitely prefer a first leg which I've always done in MSR, as it brings out the best in me and gives me confidence so hopefully can try it in a major competition in the future.

Will get there one day.

Running warm up/down 1:05:52 [3]
shoes: Saucony Kinvara TR2

Total for the day.

Orienteering race 16:37 [5]
shoes: Saucony Kinvara TR2

World Cup sprint quali.
Ok though the first 4 nothing spectacular, then thought I was further on on long leg, looked too early, panicked and lost a lot of time. Then into the urban and managed to take all the wrong route choices and ran towards the big fence near the end losing more time. Not a good race, highly disappointed.

Orienteering race 15:36 [5]
shoes: Saucony Kinvara TR2

Final.
Another awful performance! Really disappointed in myself, I know after the training lost and problems this winter it was great to even get to race this but today I orienteered worse than I have in a long time.

Great experience starting in the arena on a stage. Long leg issue again, knew exactly where I was, then suddenly didn't and panicked. Ran around wondering where my building was in a totally irrational way. Idiot.
Things came together a bit after than but all was lost.

Run back to hotel with Peter and Cat who were nice enough to run slow enough for me:).
