Lauder XC. One of my favourite courses (lots of hills, mud etc) but found it tough from the off today. Probably to be expected given the rest of my training this week and this wasn't important anyway. Still went out too hard too. Good tough training session, stuck in well and only a bit down on where I'd like to be.

Started off on a standard warm down but ended up running almost the entire course again with my fave training partner. It was just such a great day to be out in the hills, it's runs like this that remind me why I do it :).
Another good week, 3 week block complete - easier week to follow to bank.

Test, should be next week but didn't fit with plan so compromised.
Usual headwind in second half (3:34, 3:38, 3:42, 3:48, 3:44, 0:09). Relatively positive especially looking at those around me.

Need to get some distance in. Crammond to Newhaven, mostly along sea front. as meeting friends for lunch. Nice to have wind behind me, very ready for food by end as I can't each much before my test.

3x10mins (3mins) LT. Working more in middle of zone certainly for first 2 but running further. Legs started to go on last one. Nice night, shame it wasn't time trial week. Unfortunately might have to move my loop before I fell one of the ignorant triathlon group who insist on taking up the entire path waiting to or doing drills and don't move....often have to hurdle the fence as there's no way through. It's a main path and it's not just me who's getting annoyed.
Happy with how training is going so far though.

3x2km (3mins active rec) with Sophie. Tough wind, went out steady and wound it up - pushing really hard by end. Hands and knees by last, great feeling after!
