Running warm up/down 53:56 [3] 8.74 km (6:10 / km)
shoes: Icebug Spirit OLX

Total for the day.

Orienteering race 16:44 [4] 2.26 km (7:24 / km)
shoes: Icebug Acceleritas 3

Cathkin Braes. Long run out to 1 but missed in circle due to no attackpoint and then relocated poorly due to thinking scale was 1:7500 when it was 1:10000. However didn't stress and controlled through the rest.

Orienteering race 15:49 [4] 2.73 km (5:48 / km)
shoes: Icebug Spirit OLX

Linn Park. Fairly straight forward but still mostly in the woods. All ok until right at the end where didn't see the slight left I had to take and almost ended up on the golf course...my only non fastest split of the day!

Orienteering race 28:22 [4] 4.75 km (5:58 / km)
shoes: Icebug Spirit OLX

Drumpellier. Chasing start - different experience with no race. Took the terrain route to 1 when if I'd been in a head to head I'd have pathed it. A little messy over the first two but then took routes which suited me and went quite well.

Nice to have no pressure but it's a shame that there were so few people in the open classes. I tried to win the Glasgow Parks for years and it used to be a really good competition as well as a social event but I didn't really get either this year. Shame there wasn't a blast proper park either as it's a fun event - the first and last were not really park orienteering which although were better for my training, just wasn't the same. I know I'm not the only person who thought this, I did still have fun. Hopefully no Cathkin next year!

Running warm up/down 28:00 [3] 5.0 km (5:36 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Will update asap but currently no laptop or phone.

Running 18:20 [5] 5.05 km (3:38 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Hyper Speed 6

TT - should be next week but doesn't fit so with a week of training in the legs. Good improvement on last month (-17secs) and this time last year (-21secs). Return headwind still there. Everyone went off really fast, I got a bit caught up in it but then hung back and re caught that group around 3km. One day I will have the confidence to go of steady. Hung in well and among some people who are normally fair big ahead. 2nd fastest I've ran this course with the fastest on a good day in summer so feeling positive.

Running intervals 44:06 [5] 9.29 km (4:45 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Swapped sessions around again as girls I train with can't do tomorrow so would be on my own anyway and hadn't race this weekend. Nice to do this without gym legs and not on the Meadows. 4x2km (2mins) followed by 6x100m (going ever 1min) around Trim Track/A68 loop. Tough but held the pace pretty well.
