Off road run from home with my old man. Easy as he’s not been well. Lanton, Monteviot, Jedfoot, Walkersknow - beautiful frosty day, lovely views and great company. Just what I needed after yesterday :), happiness restored.

Around course before, drills, strides.
Took myself on a wee run out the way after.

East District XC Livingston.
Went out steadier and went backwards, panicked and went further backwards (couldn’t control breathing). Not ideal, fair bit down on those I train with. Course didn’t suit me, nearing my b12 injection but I think my biggest problem was physiological/anxiety. I’d been worried about this all week so quite nervous as I had to drop out on this course 2years ago/ran badly last year. I couldn’t wait for it to be over and been taking everything fair too seriously so used up to much energy emotionally. I’ve been working on this but this was a step backwards.

However I was happy with how things were going this time last week and you don’t become rubbish overnight. In the grand scheme of things this wasn’t important so I can learn from it and I have a nice chill period to just focus on training coming up :).

TT. Very windy, had discussed beforehand this would be more of a training session as opposed to time meaning anything. Legs still a bit too heavy and had to slow at Pavillion. Started well but just couldn't hold it into wind. Worked hard and surprised to be better than last month. Bit annoying haven't been able to have a real go at this.
