Super easy stretching the legs out in Ulverston before heading back north. Thought about going up to the monument but kept it flat and sensible along the canal as want to be recovered for sessions next week.

I know the plodding is meant to be over but couldn’t resist Hollie’s birthday long run in Great Langdale, taking in numerous tops, back via Angle Tarn. However, I’ll happily never see another rock again and the Carnethy descent will be a piece of cake next time. Top day out with great company, despite rather grim weather at times (but wouldn’t be the Lakes without that!)

3x10mins (3mins) @ 10km pace. Solo so decided to go to the track as easier to stick to a pace. I did the first 10mins slightly too fast so paid in 2nd/3rd. First session for a while trying to run at this pace so can't expect it to be perfect.

On this day last year the track was closed due to snow and I did my session in a blizzard...today I was wfh so logged on early so I could do my session at lunch, cracked it - warm and clear blue skies, almost like summer.

20x200m (200m), tried to stick to target times, easy to start with but soon built up. Average a tiny bit quicker, best I've this session I think but good conditions. Definitely helping leg speed as lots of accelerations!
