Nairn, lots of route choice. I got a lot wrong but they were difficult, need to keep on working. Still feel like I can't move my legs fast enough, no where near the edge but today was training not a race (with the chance to see Karen) and it was good training. Solid week in the the bag.

Beautiful forest. Some hanging, some collecting. Really enjoyed it and generally orienteering well.

Mass start gaffled with Dad. Tricky, pushing on with pressure but it went well.

Long legs under pressure with Dad inc. jog to area from previous course. 3/4 good on first section. Ran last 3 chasing, almost caught him but lacked confidence right at the end of leg resulting in poor route, executed poorly but other 2 routes were good.

Inc. drills/strides. Absolute crawl home, briefly bumped into cheery Lydia which got me going again.

20x200m (200m). Stuck to target times for both reps and recovery, built up as usual. When I start to tire I'm lazier with initial acceleration so tried to focus on that and force legs to turnover quicker.

To/from gym got longer because of embargo but has just got longer again due to Fountainbridge closure. Slightly depressing as it wasn't quite light so that's it until about March now. My membership still isn't sorted so it was a wasted trip so returned via Dalry as as much as I hate the gym I need to keep up the s&c especially as now into proper training block again.
