Running race 28:05 [5] 5.95 km (4:43 / km) +90m 4:23 / km
shoes: Icebug Spirit OLX 6

Gala XC. Muddy, proper XC. One for those good in terrain, tough but ran it better than last year as able to run off the hill. Pushed on by a flying Mr Tullie but I was stronger at the end on the trails. Good week of training.

Saturday Nov 16 #

Running long 1:50:38 [3] 17.41 km (6:21 / km) +550m 5:29 / km
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 7

Building a good base. Pentlands, really enjoyable and felt strong up the hills. Podcasts good for solo long runs (even if they were both discussing cheating in the two sports I love).

Running tempo 33:00 [4] 6.84 km (4:49 / km) +15m 4:46 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

3x7mins tempo (4mins). First of these sessions for a while and starting in a better place than last season :). These are good sessions. Long chat with Lecky after, lots of interesting discussion.

Running warm up/down 37:30 [3] 6.6 km (5:41 / km) +80m 5:21 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Strength and Conditioning 30:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Adding to the DOMS.

Yoga 35:00 [0]

Today's focus was on flexibility which was ideal for me.

Note

Last season review done (see Sunday). B12 injection.
However, they have suddenly decided this is my last one because injections are being stopped for all patients whose problems aren't intrinsic factor linked. They will test in a year to check there's no impact but this obviously isn't ideal as the gasping breathing, tingling/losing feeling in hands and fainting doesn't go well with being an athlete. I have been advised to go speak to the sports doctor as they did admit my circumstances were different. Expensive appointment booked. Interested to see if Mum's are stopped too.

Running long 1:22:02 [3] 14.31 km (5:44 / km) +106m 5:32 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Headtorch run with Sophie.

Tuesday Nov 12 #

Running warm up/down 43:56 [3] 7.81 km (5:38 / km) +18m 5:34 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

Inc. drills. DOMS, DOMS, DOMS.

Running intervals 23:22 [5] 5.39 km (4:20 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

5x1km (1min) @5km pace with Kara. Just off the pace tonight but that's no surprise as legs in a lot of pain and B12 due tomorrow. Still a good session as winter is more about grinding it out than speed.

Monday Nov 11 #

2019/20 training begins! Back to my "favourite" session with the strength exercises back in. Roll on DOMS.
