Running warm up/down 48:49 [3] 6.59 km (7:24 / km) +155m 6:38 / km
shoes: Icebug Spirit OLX 6

Extended after back out into terrain to make into a long run time, including up to the cairn. Could have kept going all day but had to be back for meeting.

Bethecar Moor. Decided to run green as haven't done much of this recently and even if the area was horrible I'd get something out it by forcing myself focus for a short time. However, I loved the area and really enjoyed the course so wish I'd done a longer one. Felt strong running, even through terrain. Started off a bit scrappy, getting into it and did my usual making a mistake on the last hard control but the section 5-10 was really good. Again most of my mistakes came from distractions so must stay focused and believe in my own ability.

Orienteering 12:12 [1] 1.56 km (7:49 / km)

More of Dad's exercises, I can make big improvements here!

Note

Face to face meeting with Lecky, discussed ideas re pre race which will try next weekend.

Broxburn XC - East League. Knew I had to accept I might not run well today and felt really emotional just before the start. Good run, felt the strongest I have in a race for the majority. Paced the first lap well but again got excited at the halfway and pushed up the hill. This was a mistake, should have waited until the second one. Only died in the last 400m or so but still gutted to come so close to an excellent run, only a matter of time though. Team 2nd which was excellent and positive step forward personally.

10x long Dean Village hill (lampost to building end for future reference). Keeping my hill strength, felt good and enjoyed the session. Each faster than last so know what time to aim for next time. Think because my mind is elsewhere, stressed less about running so felt good. Need to bottle this running feeling.

3x7mins (4mins) with Kara. She's running really well so great for pulling me along. Out at Edinburgh Park for a change, less busy but not always as flat. Both felt better and actually ran better than last week though.
