Running warm up/down 32:45 [3] 5.36 km (6:07 / km) +54m 5:49 / km
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 7

Lap of the course before plus drills/strides etc.
Chatty with Sara after, trying to keep to what was necessary.

Running race 25:03 [5] 6.39 km (3:55 / km) +59m 3:45 / km
shoes: Icebug Spirit OLX 6

Livingston East League XC. Did this for the team as not ideal before tomorrow but Gala had the chance of pulling up from 4th to 3rd overall. Wore icebugs over spikes as course was hard trail aside from a couple of bits and wanted to look after feet. Decent run, paced pretty well and had a good battle with Keira (who got me on the last lap last week) over last bit, she just got me but I made it very hard for her. 10th and Gala 3rd overall so worth running (masters also pulled up to 3rd) so good day all round. Not everyday you’re in a podium seniors team including mum and daughter as counters.

Running warm up/down 27:22 [3] 4.91 km (5:34 / km) +26m 5:26 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 8

Running tempo 30:00 [4] 6.36 km (4:43 / km) +26m 4:37 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 8

2x12mins (3mins) solo on the Meadows. So glad I'd only planned 2 tonight (similar to 2 lap XC this weekend and not going crazy before weekend while still keeping a good session in) as it was wet and really windy again. Working to effort rather than pace as almost going backwards at points and it was one of those days where it felt like the wind was always in my face. Despite the conditions I was still faster than where I started last winter and I didn't get stressed/annoyed like I used to over things I can't control.

Running warm up/down 37:30 [3] 6.6 km (5:41 / km) +66m 5:25 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Still rushing around, rather windy again this morning.

Strength and Conditioning 30:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Yoga 35:00 [0]

Running long 1:10:51 [3] 12.74 km (5:34 / km) +158m 5:14 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

Most with Sophie, so windy that felt as though we were running into a brick wall at times. Keeping it sensible with a long tough weekend coming.

Running warm up/down 41:33 [3] 7.36 km (5:39 / km) +16m 5:35 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 8

Running intervals 23:03 [5] 5.49 km (4:12 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 8

5x1km (1min) @ target 5km pace at the track with Kara and Sophie. Wasn't feeling up for this session most of the day but glad I was meeting the girls to get me going. Bit breezy in places but standard Edinburgh as often a lot worse. Actually ended up doing a really good session with all times under target.

Running warm up/down 37:30 [3] 6.6 km (5:41 / km) +66m 5:25 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Covering holiday at work again today so bit less civilised time (had to be back by 9) but wfh so not super early.

Strength and Conditioning 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Running 45:38 [3] 8.8 km (5:11 / km) +99m 4:55 / km
shoes: Saucony Peregrine ISO

Wfh gave me the opportunity to easily run at lunch which I took to see more daylight (greylight) and run before the next storm comes in later this afternoon. Some off-road and hills on Craiglockhart too, garmin had a melt-down but enjoyed it and feeling good.

Orienteering 6:19 [2] 0.78 km (8:06 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine ISO

Line course, really tricky.

Running 35:02 [3] 5.41 km (6:29 / km) +79m 6:02 / km
shoes: Saucony Peregrine ISO

Scotjos training Dunfermline - hanging, checking etc.

Orienteering 19:04 [3] 3.2 km (5:57 / km) +33m 5:40 / km
shoes: Saucony Peregrine ISO

Bo'ness sprintervals from yesterday's Scotjos training, inc. run between parts. Rusty to start but got into it.

Orienteering 13:37 [4] 2.6 km (5:14 / km) +42m 4:51 / km
shoes: Saucony Peregrine ISO

Bo'ness sprint, again from yesterday's Scotjos training. Course choice and butterfly, head to head against Dad. Going as fast as I could but had a hot chocolate to warm up after morning of coaching which then made me feel sick all afternoon...standard, still well matched with Dad. Technically good in a very tricky area.
