Sunday Nov 8 #

Running long 1:27:23 [3] 16.76 km (5:13 / km) +147m 5:00 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 8

Silverknowes and back. Another solid week in the bank, maybe verging on pushing my luck as felt a bit zonked after this (perhaps hadn't eaten enough) but easy week coming up.

Running 19:22 [5] 5.05 km (3:50 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 8

Right on cue it poured, harder effort done though even if I felt like a sack of tatties. Feeling a bit down, Kara had similar feels so a good moan after.

Yoga 30:00 [0]

Saturday Nov 7 #

Running 37:14 [3] 7.53 km (4:57 / km) +37m 4:50 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

Keeping it easy as long run/session tomorrow. WoL/canal, nice morning. Should have done 3km TT but already committed to hard stuff tomorrow and want consistent training over chopping and changing for races that never happen.

Friday Nov 6 #

Running 23:54 [3] 4.81 km (4:58 / km) +30m 4:49 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

Misty morning Carrick Knowe loop with...

Running 14:19 [4] 3.19 km (4:29 / km) +17m 4:22 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

...fartleck, 30 quicken 30 float then completed the loop.

Thursday Nov 5 #

Strength and Conditioning 17:30 [3]

Making good use of time before FWTN, extra sleep in the morning.

Running warm up/down 33:51 [3] 6.32 km (5:21 / km) +39m 5:12 / km
shoes: Nvii Terra+

A lot closer to home this week, maybe too close. Loop out west both before and after, little bit with Rona and managed to stay away from most fireworks (I am not a fan!).

Orienteering 23:52 [4] 4.71 km (5:04 / km) +33m 4:54 / km
shoes: Nvii Terra+

FWTN, Canal/Exchange. Sped up in the second half and got a little lazy with the map reading as I "thought" I knew where I was going. Fun to be orienteering but I still think it's more enjoyable when it's not dark.

Wednesday Nov 4 #

Running 28:20 [3] 5.2 km (5:27 / km) +33m 5:17 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

Roseburn loop.

Strength and Conditioning 30:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

Inc. plyos at the park.

Running 47:26 [3] 8.84 km (5:22 / km) +95m 5:06 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

Daylight, off the roads where possible.

Tuesday Nov 3 #

Running warm up/down 30:38 [3] 5.91 km (5:11 / km) +23m 5:05 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 8

Running tempo 33:06 [4] 7.15 km (4:38 / km) +19m 4:34 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 8

3x8mins tempo (3mins) with Kara on the Meadows. Better than 2 weeks ago with less rest. Meadows slightly less crazy this week but still lots of dodging (including people lying on the paths!?!)

Monday Nov 2 #

Running 31:24 [3] 5.8 km (5:25 / km) +44m 5:13 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Strength and Conditioning 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4 (2)

Running 1:12:59 [3] 12.92 km (5:39 / km) +131m 5:23 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 7

Drumbrae loop, wasn't feeling inspired post work but podcast in and job done.
