Tour of the cycle paths with Kara.

Sprint training in the snow. Had to be careful due to snow/ice but another tricky course in a good area I don't know so getting back into a routine.

8x1km @10km pace (1min). Back of the cycle path chasing Kara, still have snow legs. The uphill ones were a struggle but once I realised the average was fine I was less grumpy.

Easy run planned but lower legs feeling beaten up so it wouldn't have been easy due to conditions. Binned it in favour of rest before session tomorrow and may double one weekend day with orienteering anyway.

Snowy hill reps with Sophie on golf course by Corstorphine, another new one. 5x30secs, 5x1min, 5x30secs (jog down recovery). Good strength training.

Super fun East Craiglockhart with Katrina. Not going anywhere fast, deep powdery snow even on the roads.

Relentless in the snow, nowhere easy. Like running on sand on the roads and deep off road.

Little bit of orienteering on the golf course. Another new one to me, don't know why I've never been on it before, rate it but very physical mostly in untouched snow. One dodgy route where didn't use compass.

3km wu then the extended cool down all slightly uphill to get home. Bonked with a km ish to go once I was on my own as the snow got deeper and I dreamed of my dinner.

1mile steady, 2miles @10km pace, 1mile steady, 2miles effort. With Kara on the cycle path, clear on the way down but blizzard and lying white again from half way. Kara missed the turn back and I had to keep chasing which meant a long run home!

Standard lunchtime Craiglockhat pond loop in reverse with Kartina. Snowing again, it was like someone had burst a giant beanbag.

Rage ran down to Sophie's after work then a super fun run together on the golf course in the blizzards. Snow on the ground so bright the head torches stayed off, magical.
