Knock Out Quarter Final. On paper looked pretty easy to qualify but went out reasonably hard to try and get a top 3 qualifiers gap. In the end got away with Eef to comfortably go through.

Knock Out Semi Final. Tough heat with Eef, Mairi & Alina (French, fast runner). A bit scrappy at start but settled in after a few controls and took right route when mattered (very happy to see Eef still the other side of the fence as I was approaching 2nd last control). Buzzing to make final, especially to knock out the World Champs bronze medalist to get there and be top Brit!

Knock Out Final - 5th. Such a cool atmosphere. Organisers gave me wrong map, I realised quickly but it’s a mass start so had to make a split second decision what to do. Knew if stopped my race was over so hung in checking codes. I was 2nd/3rd for most but lost touch in a twisty bit and had no idea where to go. Ran towards a control I could see but it wasn’t mine so had to wait for next person to catch. Pretty gutting as wasn’t able to pick my own routes or know we were near the end until approaching last control. Could I have held top 3, maybe but I still had a really fun day and the organisers gave me Belgian chocolates to say sorry.

And to the English people who were overheard saying it was shame no GB elites were here…I’m sorry Mairi and I weren’t good enough for you!

+weights & plyos in the gym. Wasn't that busy but felt like everyone was in my way.

Busy busy day, another flying visit home to do a 10min presentation. Off the train a stop early at Gala and ran along the river to Tweedbank via a very nice path to make the most of the 3ish hours I was down.
