Orienteering race (Nav Dash Joondalup) 22:36 [4] 4.43 km (5:06 / km) shoes: Brooks Adrenaline 9
Long Course.
Took a little while before I could "see" the course - the purple seemed fainter than normal. Blew a bit of time at 3 when I went straight to the right set of stairs and didn't see the control lying flat on the ground. Why do we persist with 2D controls when we have 3D controls?
Fine through the rest to 10 - what does the "inside" of a wall mean? Went to the top of the wall and then had to circle around to the control. Happy with the rest, apart from being a bit indirect to 16 and 20.
Felt like I should/could have been running a bit faster, but I suppose the nature of the course made me hold back some what. Looking at the splits it would seem that I did pick up the pace through the second half as I made up a few places.
