Note

First loop distance = 34.4km

Second Loop = 23.7km

Forgot to mention the all time fastest rogaine split between 21 & 87 - 4 minutes. Felt like I was orienteering!

Planned a 22km loop of 990 pts and managed to complete it as planned.

Headed out smack on 6am with a great bacon sarny (Yay!!), south to 35, which we got without torches. Headed further south and then west, picking up the Legend & partner as a tail for a while. They actually burnt us off, much to JB's disgust.

A small wobble at 104, but corrected neatly as we saw the E/W gully north of the spur. From there, everything was very smooth and we knew we had a good buffer of time. Strolled in at 11.45am feeling very much like I had a couple more hours in my legs. JB was probably at about 98% of his limit though, so a well planned and executed route all up.

We both had had enough of sweet stuff to eat and we'll look at taking something savoury next time. We kept the food intake to "on the hour" and this continues to work well.

Total of 2460 pts.
4th overall & 3rd Mens (Woo Hoo!)
Will measure the actual route tomorrow, as I left my map in JB's car.
