Running 48:26 intensity: (42:26 @2) + (6:00 @5) 8.91 km (5:26 / km) +12m 5:24 / km
shoes: Brooks Ravenna 5

2 x 6 x 30/30 at 400m pace, with about 25 min warm up including 2 sets of run throughs. Wasn't sure about recovery in between the sets so I just did a 2 minute recovery. I pushed the 400m pace a fair bit, figuring somewhere between 3:40 & 3:50min/km was about right.

18 holes at Whaleback. 45 on the front nine was promising, 56 on the back nine was a better reflection of actual lack of ability. Still beats working.

Forgot my GPS so had to go nude! Didn't have a big night by any means, but a late dinner and proper breakfast this morning left me feeling like I might leave a street pizza somewhere on the run today. I was over 8 mins at the 2km mark and something like 16:40 at 4km, so it was never going to be super quick. Had a surprisingly good kick for the last 250m overtaking a couple of people, only to fail to notice the changed finish line and lose a few places scrambling back to it. Not too sure of the actual time at the stage, will wait for the results. Nice way to start the new year - and no street pizzas :)

Someone said hi as they rode passed heading south along the banana Fwy. I waved but didn't catch who it actually was.
