ADHOC sprint course at ASHS and APS. Interestingly the course length on the map says 2.6km and my watch says 2.5km - perhaps some of the canopies stopped the GPS.

Tried to run at race speed but that's always difficult away from the moment. I think I picked the optimum route for the most part, although I missed the wide right route to 2 and had a decent stair climb to do at the end. Slowed down in a couple of places just to be sure of the exact location at the control site (not an issue with a flag fluttering in the breeze), but other than that it was a nice clean run.

Not a massive map (A4 at 1:2000) but still good enough for a sprint area. The ASHS's bit had some nice twists and turns. Makes me think that we could map a few more public high school in Perth to be used every two or three years. Hopefully we'll be able to have a run at CVC next year, if I get around to completing the map and asking the boss if we can use it.

These two schools both have East/west cricket pitches - not great for early morning games. I only knew of one other E/W pitch in Perthand that got fixed years ago. Perhaps the pitch installers down here weren't great cricket fans?

Thanks to the ADHOC mob for the run, albeit 11 months late :)

Nice run along Oyster Harbour in Albany. Kept hitting dead ends, but still managed a loop in the end, coming up (literally) Lower King Rd from King River. Great way to start the day, as a run usually is.

Also paddled a bit in the harbour in a kayak, which may well be what we look at buying in the future at some time.
