Running 1:15:00 [1]

Run in the Don Valley in TO. Felt okay on the way back, I guess.

Saw Bridge of Spies that night. Pretty okay movie, very by the books and you can hardly tell the Coen Brothers were script doctors. Expect Mark Rylance to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor, he's excellent. Interesting that the movie really had no villains, just the Cold War itself. Does not fit the usual Spielberg method of how he portrays history, especially of anything relating to the Nazis.

The trailers were amazing. The new Dicaprio movie The Revenant looks crazy intense. The new Jungle Book looks incredibly scary (entire movie appears to be animals attacking each other). And Ron Howard has directed a film version of The Essex, which might be one of the most painful, depressing and uncomfortable stories in the last say 200 years.

Good times!

Running 1:05:00 [1]

Well missed the Dave's Tues Night Halloween Run so just went alone from P7 to Gossip Corner and back on Ridge. Interesting that running Ridge in the dark feels way more interesting than during the day, almost feels single track. Saw a bunch of the runners in costume and some mtb who had insanely bright lights.

Post flu: energy level not bad but my god are my lungs killing me. Lots of coughing post-flu and hurting on the uphills! RTH is going to be extra painful this year, get the tow-rope ready!

Finally feeling good enough to run after emerging from a super nasty flu. Run with Freddy on the "new" amazing trails in Old Chelsea to Hendricks Farm. Then up Trail 1 to the parkway and back.
