US Short distance Champs near Mannsville, NY.

Race 1 of 2 - very flat, fast 1.7km course with 7 controls. Ran essentially perfect except a ~40sec mistake at #5. Ran hard the whole way.

US Short distance Champs - Part II.

4.4km relatively flat course, but much rougher running than this morning. Again, ran hard and pretty well in most places, but had a 90sec mistake at #3, a 30sec mistake at #9, and was sloppy towards the end. All in all, a good couple of short races for me.

First ever GHO Canada GHO O'cross - head to head knockout races of 10 min (3 courses). Set by Hammer, this was awesome training. Fast, a few technical sections, and a great tune-up for the weekend. Total of ~28min of orienteering.

5 by 2 min on, 2 min off. Didn't go hard, except for 4 min. Just trying to get the legs moving again. Still not feeling quite there yet (i.e. still feel like garbage).

Day-2, SVO-"a" meet. Intensity ranged from 5 to 1, mostly 1. Technically I "ran" pretty well, although I did alot more walking than running! The distance and hills killed me - it'll be good to get the miles up again in training. Great map, great course, and all in all a good weekend (except I felt like a bag of garbage).
