Trail/road running 30:00 [1]

Warm-up and cool down for O-training.

orienteering 25:00 [4]

Wednesday night O-training at Sasaffrass with Oivend, Markez, MT, Sudden, and Jason. Set by the Rock. 2 "corridor" type exercises on flat, subtle terrain, and a final line-O on hilly, open area. Great workout, felt good technically. Worked on pace counting, bearing and picking up large features for first 2 exercise, and it went well. Focused on reading map more on third exercise.

orienteering 30:00 [4]

Wednesday night GCG training at Sasafrass woods - set by the Rock, run by myself, Sudden, Markez, Oivend, MT, and Jason.

2 Corridor-type orienteering sessions on wide open, flat top section of map with very subtle features. Final session in hilly, wide open eastern part of map. Great training, felt pretty good technically, and my legs are finally starting to come back to me.

Trail/road running 44:00 [3] 6.0 mi (7:20 / mi)

Easy run at Chedoke with ~10min pickup in the middle. Legs heavy from weekend but I think I worked out alot of junk. Stretched lots after.

orienteering 2:12:00 [5] 20.5 km (6:26 / km)

US long distance champs near Mannsville, NY.

Very long course, relatively flat, some nice pieces of forest. I ran relatively well, but really ran out of gas and made a few route choice errors. Took trail/road options from 0-1, 2-3, 4-5, 5-6 to save legs and mental energy, but it definitely cost me time. Lost a minute or so at #9, but other than that a pretty clean run, just needed to run faster for longer. Ran with Sudden and Hammer (GHO Canada GHO train!) from #3-#8, and then with Hammer from #11-finish.

Trail/road running 15:00 [1]

Warm-up for Long-distance Champs.
