Running 1:03:59 [3] 8.99 km (7:07 / km)

Ran up Mt Ainslie with the doggies, did 4 x 90sec hill intervals on the way up. Then ran down to the saddle and down the single track over the back. Poor Kippy was struggling to keep up, and I really was dragging him the last few kms. All of a sudden he is looking very old. Turns 8 in a few weeks, maybe thats why.

Note

Was suppose to be a cross training day but gave it a miss cos I'd doubled up yesterday.

Running 1:15:25 [3] 10.85 km (6:57 / km)

Bit scared of killing the dogs again on a long run, so I ran the Duffy St back track woth them for 26 mins (did 6 x 50m strides in that), dropped them off home and then ran up to Majura, along the goat track, up and over Hackett hill to home (that bit was 49'24, 7.01km). Elliott seemed releived to be going home when he did. Luca not so impressed when I dropped them off and turned around and went straight back out.

Orienteering race 44:01 [3]

Took Phil orienteering at ANU in 38 degree heat. Made the foolish mistake of thinking that cos it was his first time he'd be crap at it and we'd stop lots...but not the case. Was a bit whacked but had lots of fun.

Running (Recovery) 31:16 [2] 4.86 km (6:26 / km)

Ran with Wendy along Duffy Street at a cruisy pace.

Running 1:48:46 [3] 18.34 km (5:56 / km)

Took Elliott the Wonderdog for a long run around West Basin (plus we had to do a 1.17km / 7'02" detour down onto Weston Park for a water stop). The run itself was fine, felt great, loved hearing the ROAR of the lions as I ran along the valley after the Zoo. Biggest challenges were (1) teaching Elliott road rules and bike path ettiquete on the run (2) trying not to let car key (in back pocket) scratch my newly aquired sunglasses (found on bike path 2km into the run, also in back pocket) and (3) dragging a very tired Elliott the last few kms. Thought he was gonna drown in his post-run swim, as he drank up half the volume of the lake.
