Running 1:34:24 [3] 9.0 mi (10:29 / mi)
shoes: Inov-8 Roclite 295

Saturday trails with TREX. Good group - a little fast at the front, so I fell back on the second half of the run. Soupy, humid morning - sapped the energy over the last few miles, but all in all a solid Saturday run and a positive end to 2011 (from a running perspective - good riddance).

Friday Dec 30, 2011 #

Running 38:25 [3] 3.75 mi (10:15 / mi)
shoes: Kinvara #2

Lunchtime trail run. Lovely, mild day. Everything felt a little heavy, possibly because I hadn't eaten much and was starving even before I ran. Still, a good little run to test the ankle (which is pretty much fine).

Wednesday Dec 28, 2011 #

Running 53:26 [3] 6.0 mi (8:54 / mi)
shoes: Inov-8 Roclite 295

Late afternoon trails. Endless/Green/Endless with Chris and Thomas. Despite rolling my ankle half a mile in, this was a very solid run. Felt really strong throughout and set a chippy pace. Good company and lovely, mild weather certainly didn't hurt.

Tuesday Dec 27, 2011 #

Running 32:29 [3] 4.0 mi (8:07 / mi)
shoes: Kinvara #2

Hermann loop. Lovely late-afternoon/early evening. Maintained a solid pace throughout while trying to find a sense of rhythm and lightness on my feet. Elusive. Felt strong but not smooth. Hopefully the later will come eventually.

Monday Dec 26, 2011 #

Running 1:00:22 [3] 7.1 mi (8:30 / mi)
shoes: Kinvara #2

Hermann-Rice long plus. Tried a variant figure-8 loop on this one. Body felt heavy (which after yesterday's gluttony is understandable), but I was able to keep it pretty steady the whole way. Nothing much to say about this one other than it's a few more miles in the books.

Note
(rest day)

Epic day of unhealthy eating. Ugh.
