Saturday late-afternoon Hermann-Rice plus plus. Gorgeous afternoon run. Very steady, solid pace the whole way. Hips tightened up about 5-6 miles in, but otherwise, all the parts behaved. First real test of the Pure Connects: A+. Starting to feel like a runner again.

Short lunchtime jaunt. An out & back u-shaped run on Purple. First run in the new Brooks Pure Connects. Too early to render a final judgment, but they friggin' rock. I really like the glove-like fit and cushioning where I need it.

Hermann-Rice short. Very chilly and brutally-windy weather. Wind was really gusting and running against it wasn't much fun. Also inadvertently stopped by watch about 14 minutes in, so the time is just a guess. Hit my first marker in fairly quick time and felt like I was moving well overall, so the pace may have been slightly faster.

Morning run on the hotel dreadmill. Hate the treadmill, but sucked it up. Played lots of games - quarter-mile pickups (x3 at 6:59/mi) - some "hill" repeats. Just an assortment of stuff. Turned out to be a pretty good little workout.

Hermann-Rice long plus loop. Chilly morning run at a conservative pace. Really solid and much smoother feel to this run compared to others lately. Hopefully a sign of increasing fitness.

Sunday trails. Ugh. Warm, dead-legged "run." Managed to stumble through the Green/EL out & back. Didn't fall (despite catching roots multiple times), didn't turn an ankle, and shin et al. felt fine, so I suppose that's something.
