slept:4.0 shoes: Altra Lone Peak 2.5

Bandera. Despite a lot of good things (weather, course conditions, overall fitness), a number of mistakes put my head in a bad place and made pulling the plug all too easy. Not sure if I'm going to focus on super long stuff like this. At least for a while. Kind of tired of being a plodder (as in really, really f-ing tired), so getting some leg speed back will be a short term focus. After that, who knows.

Running 30:02 [3] 3.1 mi (9:41 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: Altra Instinct 3.0 (black)

Hermann short. A final shake out to keep everything loose. The work is done. Time to see if there's a pay off.

Hermann. Chilly with light rain that turned into moderate rain over the last couple of miles. Brrrr. Something about 3-ish and slow tomorrow & off Friday.

Hermann. Legit cold morning. New HRM strap didn't make much difference, as it read 00 for the half of the run before deciding to wake its lazy ass up. Whatever. I'll screw with it after Bandera. Had some tightness in the upper left hamstring / groin a little while after yesterday's run, so I wanted to be careful with this one. Feels ok now. Always seems like the little niggles start cropping up at taper time. Bandera stoke is increasing.

Hermann + Braes. Quite chilly this morning, but nice. Very relaxed, short taper-week effort.
