Poor performance, very surprised to win but many others also made major errors.
Lost 25s at 5 when I missed a junction and instead of contining went back to the junction then around my original route. (Serial error for me). Wrong route at 6 but just got on with it. Wrong route at 8 and up a dead end and turned round. Got the tricky bit at the end of this leg right which gave others problems.

Copenhagen Quayside and Palace. Great area and course.
Finished 1.18 down on the winner after loosing 40 sec with 2 minor errors.
Reasonably happy with the run as gave it a go but slightly disappointment to finish as low as 23rd. (Should have been top 20 and was capable of top 10.)
A very competitive class with minor errors punished and worthy medallists who were able to hold it together running at this pace.
Great to see 2 of my UK rivals taking gold and silver in M60. (John Embery and Keith Tonkin).
Target now is Slovakia in 2020 when I join them!

DTU Science Park, Horsholm, a bit like Riccarton.
Got rattled by the start marshal who wouldn't let me take Control Descriptions in my hand (made me pin them to my number). Late out the start and ran away like an idiot in the wrong direction. (1 min + lost). Knew I had to push but went too hard and lost another 50 sec with a mistake at 5, relatively clean for the rest and somehow managed to scrape in in 20th place to qualify for the A final 2.07 down on the leader.
It turns out that it is a Danish environmental law that forbids carrying CDs unless in a holder - shouldn't have got as wound up!
