Middle distance in an absolutely stunning area in the Dolomites.
Technique held together well in an area that didn't suit and an event type that didn't suit.

Biking (Mountain Biking) 1:20:00 [3] 12.5 km (6:24 / km)

Hotel had a demo of nice Wilier Mountain Bikes so took one out for a go.
Very smooth and comfy with big fat tyres but couldn't get confidence in braking with brakes on opposite sides.

Had a 1 min 30s lead after 1stday so just cruised round taking safe (poor!) routes.
Won by 45s over the 2 races but 3rd today.
Just happy to be able to run.

1st race back so didn't push too hard which resulted in a good win.
