steady run 56:00 [3]

Deeside Way to Boddomend, crossed A93, through wood to old Deeside road, left to WHF road and back via riverbank. Trying to work legs with higher knee lifts and snapping foot down, seemed to work but tiring (not sure if due to effort or gradual loss of aerobics over this year). Managed to run almost all way back u through field and ride to house.
Lovely warm sunny day.

steady run 1:25:00 [3]

Morven for a 40th birthday run (not mine!). Nice steady pace up, a bit quicker down after champagne and flapjack at summit.

cycling 50:00 [3]

To/from K's birthday party - to allow drinking :-) Almost dark when we left - remembered late on we had only 1 back light between 3 bikes (and no front lights at all). Got back with only 1 car encounter.

nothing. Visited physio and have got some exercises to do to help get the hamstrings firing properly on right side and rehabilitate left ham pull.

steady run 55:00 [3]

Corsedarder monument to west, loop south towards houses and back partly in terrain. Right leg took a while to loosen up (15-20 mins) and left ham was a bit tweaky at times. Still can't move at any speed, both legs/glutes/nerves uncomfortable at anything above a steady pace.

cycling 1:05:00 [3]

Glen Tanar with S and E. Nice ride out to half-way hut and back. Stopped to pick cherries near Stable Yard - plenty more - yum, yum, we'll be back.

steady run 33:00 [3]

Left ham had been OK for last day so tried a wee run - parked at NW corner of Loch Davan and up track over to Cambus then right on small path through woods to Redburn. Nice tracks and ham was OK - could feel it occasionally but nothing too sore at any point.
Then picked chanterelles for 10 mins and got about 3kg!

Swimming 4:00 [2]

Loch Davan, lovely loch, lovely beach by stream mouth but loch not much fun for swimming - weedy the whole way, knees permanently brushing through stuff :-( soon turned and back out. Maybe better to try south bank near NNR car park.

Swimming 14:00 [3]

Queen's Loch (south of Aboyne). Always wanted to swim here - absolutely stunning location surrounded by tall pine trees and glimpses of Birsemore Hill towering above. Went in from next to wee cottage at east end - gap in reeds but still 50-60m trudge to get deep enough (and muddy underfoot). But once in it was a lovely experience.
