x-c skiing 28:00 [3]

Lap of Aboyne GC with S. Snow a bit thin and a wee bit damp. Not worth going round for a second lap. Right groin a bit tweaky in some of the jerky moves.

steady run 30:00 [3]

Started with Deeside Runners but warm-up pace a bit hot for my leg and it started complaining, so did warm-up then lap of Castle Woods. Working quite hard in bits but leg was OK once on tracks/rougher ground.

steady run 16:00 [3]

Wee run round Hill of Banchory. Leg felt pretty good right from start - certainly best at Banchory for a long time. Some niggles as run passed but nothing too bad.

Pilates 1:00:00 [1]

Noticed that shoulder bridge felt very easy and strong - physio exercises kicking in?

Physio exercises 20:00 [2]

Sunday Feb 25, 2018 #

Note

"rest" day - spent about 4 hours cladding the tree-house extension. Arms wrecked by end - too much working arms outstretched or above head.

Physio exercises 20:00 [2]

Good set, taking them really slowly. Feeling much stronger and less tweaky after the day off running.

steady run 1:35:00 [3]

Paths from BoV to Redburn with S, E and J. Feeling very tired but after a slow start got going OK, then about 20 mins from end lost energy and really struggled. Just ran out of muscle power...
14 days in a row with some running, time for a day off and try to recover. Been good to test right side problem - not there yet but gradually improving.

Note

Woo-hoo, getting pissed after watching Scotland hump England to win the Calcutta Cup. What a day :-) :-) :-)
Can't stop watching the highlights of the 3 Scottish tries.

steady run 29:00 [3]

To Kinker shop and back - bread run :-)

steady run 29:00 [3]

To Kinker and back for Parkrun meeting and Hall committee meeting. Sense of deja-vu ;-)

orienteering 1:30:00 [3]

Run through Balmoral checking planners comments - few comments and widely spaced so a decent length run. Feeling really drained so took it very, very easy. Such nice forest for running in - little wetness underfoot and not much undergrowth (I didn't have to visit the heathery hill!).

Note

Surveying 20 mins

Physio exercises 20:00 [2]

Feeling bit tight and achey but started gently and felt OK doing exercises.

Note

3 hours surveying - other stunning day of frost and sun, lovely. Legs tired - drills sessions are hard work!

steady run warm up/down 10:00 [3]

orienteering race 38:00 [5]

DNC Sluie. Last race and great area (apart from logs from recent thinning...), good course and some decent orienteering from me. Felt Ok early on but tired on hills and struggled at back end on big climbs...
Had fun with FW - he went past me 3 times en-route to winning his first ever DNC.
