Note

Cheering on Scotland at JHI relays. 1st and 2nd in boys, 1st and 4th in girls. Job done!
Feeling utterly drained by the end - too much adrenaline and emotion over the past 2 days. Amazing Scotland win, all 6 class winners, 13/18 medallists, 1st in bot relay classes. I wonder if there has ever been such total domination by one country?

PS Maroc had 4 class winners, 7/18 individual medallists and 6/18 relay medallists. Ever been such single club results previously? - WCOC? SYO? BOK?

steady run 40:00 [3]

Run from Pitlochry to Faskally and lap of paths - managed to get a free preview of the "Enchanted Forest" by running through it at 4-10pm - gates closed at 4-30 after which it cost £20! All lights on and music playing - I guess testing out before evening crowds.

orienteering 18:00 [3]

Checking controls in Tyrebagger (again!). Still feeling pretty knackered - possibly more so than yesterday am.

orienteering 21:00 [3]

Hanging and collecting markers for after-school club in Castle Woods Aboyne. Feeling a bit better than this morning - but the woods are lovely and flat!

orienteering 17:00 [3]

round controls in Tyrebagger, checking all OK (they were). Legs feeling fairly stiff and achey after last night.

orienteering 35:00 [4]

Maroc no-flags training in Sluie. 3 loop course (did 2). Feeling pretty stuffed, legs not comfortable in terrain after yesterdays intervals. Steady round 2 loops and then chased youngsters downhill to cars (failing miserably to keep anywhere near them!).

?,?,57, 57, 56; 60,60,58,59,57.
Pleased to manage session without any immediate damage appearing. Much faster than anything I've done for a long time.
Dipped out of 3rd set - too much and getting very dark for running on the green!

steady run warm up/down 32:00 [3]

to green, some drills and back.

Note

wander round Tyrebagger hanging controls. Too early and not interested in running.
