Shadowing AM at Glen Nant - great area but legs a bit drained of energy after yesterday (plus 2 nights in village hall), calf a bit sensitive and worried about doing further damage (level 2-3 when dropping heel in tussocky marshes).

Intervals hills 10:00 [5]

Hill session (by AM) at ScotJOS weekend (combined with Scottish Hill Running Juniors). Started up main hill but no way left calf was going to enjoy the steep long interval so dropped back to the youngsters (!) hill. Managed to get dropped by some 14 year old girl hill runners... But managed 5 with out any damage - feeling left calf at level 1-2 for parts.

3 hours sawing logs (with circular saw, so somewhat less work than chain sawing).

orienteering 27:00 [3]

Hanging and collecting control for after-school club, 14 and 13 minutes. Almost dark for collecting. Left calf fine.

Shooting Greens to Hill of Gooch and long way back (got lost in the dark...)Headtorch run with S, SP & ME. Nice evening, left calf fine, felt a slight tightness a couple of times but nothing else. A bit of sciatic twinge on a downhill near end but a stretch seemed to ease it off.
I think faster pace on Sunday is what caused the cramping. need to stay in terrain or small paths to keep intensity without too much speed.

Aboyne Academy running club - first time helping. Nice easy pace up Tarland Way then Balnagowan and back via riverbank and Rhu-na-Haven Road
