Run with S, BS, ME, SR, Loch Davan to Culblean Hill - Cambus - back. Long drag up to Culblean hill then lovely wee track off it and down to Cambus quarries (O-shoes recommended for descending this). Then things went pear-shaped as I gradually collapsed into a bonk and the other just pissed off and left me - so much for a social run...
Will probably avoid group runs in future to avoid this sort of unpleasantness. Just pootle round on my own.

Hanging tapes at Dinnnet, grass long and wet, so wet!

Shadowing EC, cut a few loops to avoid too much terrain running, finding it hard. Need to do some more!

With KC, Aboyne race route at a steady pace. Plus about 12 mins warm up at start - to try to avoid suffering too much on first hill - seemed to work, or else K was being easy on the hills?
Aboyne was like Picadilly Circus - saw 3 other runner for a chat and one other acquaintance - took about 30 mins to get into car after run!

Easy home - Aboyne - Potties - home loop, rain came on and was gradually getting heavier so cut it short. Legs a bit tired on the hills.

steady run 40:00 [4]

Run with E, DW to east, riverbank path to steep hill, back road and up DW from west. Mistake going with E - pace effort the whole way...
Legs not fully recovered from yesterday or this morning. Anyway, nice to get out again even if rather sweaty. Undergrowth has shot up last couple of weeks.

Intervals 20:00 [5]

Dinnet 5 x4 mins. 2 out, 3 back this week (to reduce the grovel return to car at gliding strip). Successful :-)
Another roasting hot sunny day, glad to do intervals mostly in hte shade - such a great spot for them.
Didn't feel very bright on any but similar distances to last week and 4th was significantly quicker than no 1. Maybe need some shorter, sharper intervals to work on leg speed and improving cadence.

Gliding strip - Dinnet and back. Loads of cyclists and even a few other runners.

Note

Rest day - sorely needed. Nothing specific sore but generally drained. Another roasting hot day, 28c on return from Aberdeen.
