orienteering 45:00 [3]

Shadowing (unfortunately was behind a fast 14 and suffered on the hills!). Lovely bit of woodland and moor. Plus some control collecting. Pretty much dry by end but more wind. Had a white-tailed eagle soar over us - was a bit worried for some of the smaller juniors... ;-)
Plus saw a veritable menagerie during return journey - red kites x 5, brown hares x 2, sparrow hawk on overhead wires, several hunting kestrels/small hawks, buzzards galore.

Shadowing and then run back to bus after morning session. A bit damp, both overhead and underfoot :-)

Shadowing at afternoon session - as much to get warm as for any other reason :-) Less damp than morning but windier.

DNC Glen O Dee.
Steady round long course, 1 bad miss at no 7 - misread hills and dtopped one too soon then crossed to correct one but too far along. Gagged for a bit looking round large fallen tree then spotttd control - at least 90 secs.
JN went past me twice :-)

5 x 2 +1 (except 2nd was 3 mins - 'cos forgot time, I was enjoying it so much)
Riverbank west from Kinker. Feeling pretty ropey leg wise and never got really moving. But session done.
Aimed for a short session today - night-O starts tomorrow and I don't want to have totally shafted legs for that. We'll see...
