With S, Pass of Ballater west then up track to top of ridge, to mast and down MTB trail. Long grind up, not helped by muscle/rib pain high up right side (possibly from Saturday fall and plenty of gardening since then). Met DofE groups up top - colour coordinated fluorescent rucksack covers for different groups - must be private school !
Very tentative on descent but no major pain however after pain seemed to have spread to back below right shoulder blade as well. Not doing too well! Will take a couple of days off and try to let it settle.

To post box and back. Feeling pretty destroyed from intervals. Good sign - must have worked hard! Thought about going further but rain on…

With RC from Ballogie, community then Galahill - some superb trees here.
Back similar way but avoided hills as much as possible - utterly grovelling by end.

Intervals 14:00 [5]

7x2+1 with RC. Felt pretty grim at start (only 20 mins warm up) but got into it and felt strong on second half of session. Helped by right ITB & hamstring easing off, another consequence of Saturday fall I suspect!
Good session and much easier & faster for having company.

Right shoulder sore (from heavy fall on Saturday). Didn’t seem to aggravate it.
