Checking and waking all controls (31). Started at 8am straight up a hill - bad idea… All went well, very few mps and most seemed to be smiling at the finish.

Hanging some markers at the Hemitage, pleasant at start but heavens opened up later on… soaked through in moments.

Weighted balls, lots of arm work which led perfectly into…


Chainsawing 1.5 hours and then chopping branches for another 2. Arms now feeling like soggy spaghetti.

Lap of feel-good run from Groddie X roads with S. Legs fairly tired from yesterday, plus arms/shoulders - guess I was driving with them a bit. Lots of meadows covered in flowers - part of the experimental farm area.

Down DW via the circuitous route and to start point on railway . Plus slow grovel back up after.

Intervals 16:00 [5]

8 x 2+1 on DW west of Dess. Fairly steady session but definitely improved on return (further despite uphill). Had bit of a wobbly feel during third, probs just body catching up on effort. Back muscles gave a few twinges, need to stretch them a bit more regularly.
Nothing special distance-wise but honest effort.

Lap of Little Assynt paths with S. Feeling good for most but suddenly wasn’t. Maybe food related. Nice run in a lovely place, and the rain largely stayed off :-)
