Hammer

Some warm up throws. Then 2 competition throws one straight after the other as I was only lefty.

Threw about 14.50 i think.

Track 3:06 [3] 0.8 km (3:52 / km)

First track event of the day.

Gale force winds (defo +4m/s).

Pretty disappointed to be over 3 but hey ho just couldn't get any speed up.

Track 1:18 [3] 0.4 km (3:15 / km)

Very strong wind on back straight felt like I was running into a brick wall though it felt like it didn't affect the others who powered on ahead.

Track 6:36 [3] 1.5 km (4:24 / km)

Expected to be last and hanging on/getting lapped based on my current training form and previous races today.

However, gun went and normally I'd tuck straight in at the back but the majority went off really slowly. Thought it was slow but thought don't be silly and tucked in behind Astrid. After 400m thought it was just too slow (first lap 114secs) and thought I may have a chance to catch the two in front of Astrid. Managed to close gap slightly in second/third lap but on fourth lap they worked together and pulled away.

Felt pretty comfortable whole way round. Makes me think that maybe at the min I'm better suited to 1500m + races. But at league matches you just do what needs doing.

Worked my arse off to pass West Norfolk and to keep in contention unfortunately on third leg we massively overtaken by both.

Was stand in Captain and as we were orgainising club there was a lot of general running here there and everywhere. Plus I did a bit of warm up and some running around cheering people on.

Shoulders ache and I've not slept or eaten appropriately as I'm an idiot and went from training to pub without eating.

SWL match tomorrow so a rest day isn't too bad an idea. Currently looks like I'm doing Hammer, 400, 800, 1500 and 4x4. Easy day...

I frigging hate cycling. It's so uncomfortable!!!!!!!

Anyway I went out n I did some cycling. So windy. But I got into the swing of it in the last few miles. Then I got stuck in between of all 4 of the school buses that stop in my village.

Intended to go swimming this eve but tea came too late. Am defo going to go tomorrow. Plus track and may eve see if I can chuck in a cycle too. Mini Triathlon.

Warm up round the cycle track with mol and katrina.
Drills and stretches with everyone

2 sets of 5x300m. 100m walk recovery between reps and 5mins rest between sets.

First set wasn't fab. Felt much better in second set and was beginning to catch Katrina in the last couple.

Disappointed thought it was a good run felt like a good rhythm/speed but distance is pretty pish poor. but then i didn't have a watch and didn't check what time i left so time is a guesstimate.

Rach L came over so went for a lovely run in the White Peak

Milldale Car Park, along the River Dove south to the stepping stones (which were a let down), had a nice stroll up to Thorpe Cloud and then back down, west and over Burnsters Hill, then went on an 'adventure' with the map and then dropped back into Dove valley and ran back on t'other side of river.

Lovely day. Lovely company. Poor route choices in places. Lovely all the same.

Time is an estimate. Distance is vaguely estimated using map my run.

Walked majority of the climbs. But was a decent pace in the first 4-5km so have put 2.

Glenlivet 10k

Very very hot. Spent most of it trying not to stop to vomit due to the heat so pretty pleased with my time considering. Also very hilly.

First k was 4:30ish 2nd and 3rd 6ish 4th and 5th 5:30ish 6th 5ish 7-10th 5:30ish.

Stupid chuffing Lincoln 10k I have a big angry blister on my hell and I didn't even bloody run. And i never get blisters.

Was actually intending to run this eve as fecking terrified bout sunday's 10k.
