2lap w/u drills and accelerations

Track 12:00 [3] 1.2 km (10:00 / km)

Was supposed to be 10 x 400m off of 3mins but I binned it on the 4th as felt really sick -screwed up my daytime eating.

Track 15:00 [3] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)

Very slow w/d while the others finished off their reps plus some stretching.

Run race (stannage struggle) 1:05:04 [5] 6.0 mi (10:51 / mi)

Before I left I looked up my last years time (68.14) n also noted miss rfr's time (62.40)

Felt much happier this year n raced very yard and made up 5ish places on the last couple of miles. Disappointed not to take off more time but I suppose +3mins is ok.... Nice to cqtch up with bozzy n hazel.

Supposedly at 5k pace but I fell for that age old battle of old man n young woman battle n actually running very hard so timeswere very up down n pulled out the last one to heave. Bloody love track.

Was called in to replace a runner as of last weekend so I had georgina's estimated time of 49mins. Personally hoped I'd run 45mins based on my 9k xc pb so was made up with my time n the team were pleased as I made up 6mins (especially as I think the team manager thought I wad goin to take an hour!)

28th out of 58 n 9th female should run at 7am more often.

I bloody love track. Was so great to be back. This is what I have always done and what I am comfortable with and what I enjoy. So good to stretch the legs out - was a bit worried yesterday with my plod that I'd now be destined to be a plodder.

800m w/u

3 sets of 2 x 800m with 40sec recovery between reps and 2mins recovery between sets

Reps: 3.39 (1.47 first lap), 3.37 (1.47), 3.35 (1.45), 3.35 (1.46), 3.29 (1.45 - I misheard him say 1.55 so sped the second lap up), 3.33 (1.43),

Then did one last one 800m 3.25 (1.40)

800m warm down.

Swimming race (Nice Tri Olympic Tri) 49:29 [5] 1.5 km (32:59 / km)

Really good swim.

Water was 17.5 degrees. Bit reedy and current did make quite a bit of a difference but as you have it equal can't complain!

I BEAT A MAN ON THE SWIM!!!! and was only lapped by 3 men.

9 AM

Triathlon race (T1) 3:26 [0]

Wet suit off, t shirt and leggings on, socks and shoes, jelly babies scoffed drink consumed, helmet on and bike off rack. It's quite feasible it will take 3 and half mins...

Cycling race (Nice Tri Olympic Tri) 2:14:52 [3] 28.0 mi (4:49 / mi)

Really horrible.

3 reasons. 1. I was dying for a wee and had to take a pit stop (swimming costume under legging BAD idea). 2. Very bad cramp in right leg whole way round. 3. I hate cycling 50% of the time today was one of those times.

Triathlon race (T2) 41 [0]

Rack bike, Take off helmet, scoff jelly babies, down drink. Pretty good in 41 secs?

Run race 59:53 [5] 10.0 km (5:59 / km)

Felt much better with my feet on the ground.

Everyone else had finished by the time I had completed my first 2.5k lap of four. So pretty demoralising running by yourself and was still with right leg cramp though much better than cycling.

Sprint finished - standard you can't change a track runner.
