800m @ Colchester track

Felt pretty meh on the drive down. Then chest felt really tight whole way round and was windy and the competition was higher than my standard led to a shit race for me. Think the hayfever asthma may have had an effect today.

3000m

After a rubbish 3k I was just hoping to have a nice run. Which I did not super fast but also not too embarrassing. Ran very tactical and it paid off with a 2nd in the B which think pleased the team mates.

2000m Steeplechase

Right I am terrifed of things like HJ, PV and hurdles so to me to volunteer this was pretty big. Managed to persuade Frankie my team mate but the shot putter/hammer thrower to do it with me and promised to run it side by side. So the run was to Frankie's pace and she hasn't run in a while and has just recovered from a chest infection. But we got 6 points for coming second A and B (the colchester girls hurdled the steeples and one of them had even got steeplechase shoes on so no chance of beating)

Worth noting there was not water jump today as colchester is on the hosepipe ban due to the drought. So not so much man points for doing this. As a team mate point out today why didn't they stick the plug in earlier in the week when it rained?

Immediately after the steeplechase. On fourth leg. Set off in third and got overtaken 200m to go by someone who was ridiculously fast and actually pleased I managed to hold her off so long.

Cycle from gaz's mum n dad's to reservoir at Abbott's bromley to rugeley past rhys' caravan through the Chase n back. Beautiful sunshine. Really faded in the last 5 miles.
