Paddling 1:10:00 [4] 4.0 km (17:30 / km)
shoes: Fenn XT

Nice paddle, south of Cottesloe. Flat conditions, light off shore. Good wave riding at Dutch Inn. Went out to a 500m buoy 5 times. Nice waves - on the edge of breaking, had some fun rides, certainly gets the heart rate up catching them.

Road bike 1:05:00 [5] 26.6 km (24.6 kph)
shoes: Amiata Torino

Ride up to Lesmurdie. Took Welshpool road up the hill this time, and didn't stop with a flat. Slight easterly. Good to experience a big hill - made me think about how few there are in Perth.

Running 1:00:00 [5] 4.0 km (15:00 / km)
shoes: Brooks Infinity 2

3 sets of 40 sec on, 20 sec recovery x 5. Was able to keep a good speed all the way through.

Running 1:00:00 [5] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Brooks Infinity 2

Runs on City Beach beach - 2mins hard, 2mins recovers, 7 sets. Felt good, except for right calf bit sore after. Feeling fitter. Let shin a bit sore, icing it now.

Orienteering race (John Forrest H2) 1:52:30 [5] 9.0 km (12:30 / km)
shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D

First O for the season. Bit off more than I can chew doing the H2 - next time will do H3 or maybe an easier one and then a H4/5. Skills were rusty compared to end of last year. Punched the wrong control at #1 and so got a DNF, got all the others 22 in total. #2 was made harder since I was in the wrong starting location. Long, hot, thick bush and high contours. Helen Post gave me some good advice as we hit a couple of controls together.
