Paddling 1:30:00 [4] 13.4 km (6:43 / km)
shoes: Epic V10

Port to City Beach with Robin, Pete, and John. Left phone at home so missed John at the start but he found us at Cott. One swim. Wind quite high by the end. Bad landing at S.CB broke rudder. Average energy.
5 PM

Orienteering (Metro City Beach) 40:20 [5] 7.0 km (5:46 / km)
shoes: Brooks Inf. 3rd pair

Picked a good start direction, with the fast crowd to 20 and then 5. Ran just behind Ian for the first half, felt if I can keep up with him i would do well. Then at 13 he went off to get 12 while I continued on to 22, where Adrian caught up with me. We took different routes thereafter but found him again about 50m ahead at from 8 to 7. Reeled him in just before the finish. Surprised to run well after a fairly hard paddle. Shows what a difference training makes - have done a lot of running and hiking but not much paddling lately.

Road bike (Floreat Renegade) 1:40:00 [5] 45.0 km (27.0 kph)
shoes: Amiata Torino

Warmed up by riding to Floreat from home. Tooms, Chris and Shane. Got pounded a bit after a brief lead along Leighton and then the sprint, never recovered much after that, but managed to get to the front for the final Matilda Bay sprint. My early push on devil's elbow was a flop - lots of potential for improvement, lol. Muggy day.
6 PM

Running (City Beach) 1:00:00 [4] 8.5 km (7:04 / km)
shoes: Brooks Inf. 3rd pair

5 x 1500m with 5min rests. 6:09, 6:16, 6:37, 7:07, 7:38
