Easement and PW track, felt great. I did 10x300m on the track with 100m rest. All were at 49 seconds except 8 and 9 were at 50 seconds. My HR was 172-174 for most of the repeats. Considering this was my first track workout in a while I felt pretty good.

Manitou Springs 5k, felt good. I was a little worried about how the race was going to go after I think I ate some bad salsa. I woke up this morning with bad stomach issues that bothered me all morning and during the race. I went out really fast and hit the mile point around 4:30 and the two mile point by 9:40 but I blew up on the last mile. I finished 4th overall with a time of 16:15. I was happy with my overall place but I wasnt happy with my time. It was really windy on the last mile which didnt help my time. I might have to do some college track races this spring in order to get a few PRs. Did a 3 mile warm up and a 5 mile cool down.

Lovell Park Soco Predict Series 5k, felt okay. I was a little tired but I ended up running 17:20 for the predict race. I didnt want to run this fast but some asshole went out hard and I wasnt going to let him beat me. I ended up beating him by 3 minutes and I knew I was going to beat him but I just wasnt going to let him pass me at the start. Kids also ran.

TM, felt great. Did 6x1 mile at tempo pace 5:24 with 1 minute rest in between each repeat. 3 mile warm up and 3+ mile cool down @ easy pace 6:27. Glad I skipped yesterdays evening run because I was really tired last night, I decided todays workout was more important. The mile repeats were not as hard as I expected and I really wanted to go faster but that was not what the workout called for. I will most likely lower my tempo pace in the next couple of weeks to 5:20.

Bear Creek Park for the Fall Series #2, felt great. Finished second overall to Matt C by 40 seconds in 30:02. I did a 4 mile warm up and a 2 mile cool down. Really hot had to be close to 80. Went out easy because I didnt want to burn myself out on the first couple of hills but now I think that if I went out a little harder I would have been closer to Matt. I took the overall lead in the series and I am happy with that. I have been using the series as my interval workout so by the time I started the race I had already run 9 miles.

Easement, felt great. Probably went a little too fast today but it felt so easy. I realized it part way through and I slowed myself down but it was still really hard to hold back.

The diet is coming along nicely. I havent been starving myself like in the past and then eating a bunch of shit food on the weekends because I was too hungry to control myself. Instead I am watching what I am eating each day without that feeling of fatigue during the week and I have cut out all empty calories. I eat when I am hungry but eat smaller portions. If I am still hungry later then I eat a little more. I have really notice the difference.

Easement, felt good. I was planning on running farther these past two days but after have a temp of over 100 last night I just stuck with the recovery run. I felt horrible all day until I went for the run this evening and after the first couple of minutes I started feeling better. By the time I got home I still was feeling the head cold but not quite as intense before the run.

Nature Center Trails, felt great until the last couple of miles. I might have run just a little too fast for this run but I was feeling really great. The wind was horrible and probably slowed me down 15-20 seconds per mile. I also had sort of a head/chest cold that really caught up to me towards the end.

Monument Valley Fall Series #1, felt great. Did a 4 mile warm up and a half mile cool down. Wish I could have cooled down longer I just wanted to get to my parents house as quick as possible to get in the shower after running through fountain creek. I finished second to Alex by 10 seconds. I had a 10 second lead going into the water and after the water he had a 20 second lead. This was only after a half of a mile in the water. The mud was horrible my problem was Alex couldnt have weighed more than120-130 while I am in the mid 170s so when the mud got bad I sunk into it alot farther than he did. Overall I had a great race and felt really strong on the flat sections. The fall series is just a good workout so I wasnt too worried other than pushing myself.
