Chuckanut 50k, felt okay. Ran strong from the start and was in 5th place at mile 20 but I just didn't eat enough and I bonked hard. I didn't wear enough clothes and I was really cold which caused cramping in my arms and legs. Felt like I could have been in the top three if I hadn't cracked because all we had left was one uphill and then 9 miles of downhill or flats which I felt great on all day. I need to figured out this nutrition stuff before I race another ultra out of the state. Like always I felt like my fitness was one of the best in the field but my nutrition held me back. Time for a few month break from big mileage and focus on strength and speed.

Spring Runoff 10 mile, felt great. Finished 6th overall in 52:38 which was 1:15 faster than last year. The wind was horrible and I lost at least 30 seconds probably more like 45 seconds. Last year the conditions were perfect so I was really happy with the time. At mile 7 I was in 5th and I realized that I didnt have my chip. After that I let someone pass me and I struggled with motivation because I was worried I wouldnt be part of the results. A few of the splits I remember mile 1 5:02, mile 2 9:55 and mile 6 31:30. I know I ran a 5:40 mile in the wind before the turn around because the wind was horrible. I wish I had tapered a bit more for the race but I am really focused for Chuckanut and I was looking past this race.

2 sets of 15 workouts, best weights workout in a while. After taking two weeks off of weights due to my finger and not having enough time I still felt great and able to do more than last time.
