Ute Valley Park for the fall series #3 race, felt great. I started off the race feeling great so great at the 10 minute point I was a couple of seconds ahead of Matt C. He passed me on a short uphill and put a 10 second gap between us. On the next downhill I caught back up and was running right behind him until we took a wrong turn. I dont know how we missed it I guess I was more focused on pulling Matt back and letting him lead me. By the time we figured where we had gone we were going in the wrong direction so we decided we would run back to the leaders turn around and continue running. We had at least a minute lead on the next two runners so we ended up running quite a bit father than everyone else did. After we saw the field coming we run up to them and turned around. At that point I was a little discourage because I was feeling great before the wrong turn. I ended up a minute behind Matt in second place but I was just mentally not into it, I was more worried about how the results would turn out and if they would disqualify me. I got a great workout and they did place me in the results so overall I was pleased with the race. I know I wouldnt have beaten Matt but I think I would have been closer than in Bear Creek.

TM, felt good. My legs especially my hamstrings felt a lot better today. I think maybe I over did it this week. Two races on Sat., 20+ long run, a track workout and mile repeats.

TM, felt okay. Did 6 x 1mile with 1 minute rest in between at tempo pace 5:21 which was 3 seconds per mile faster than last week. Was going to do another 1 mile cool down but I was just really tired.

Easement and PW track, felt great. I did 10x300m on the track with 100m rest. All were at 49 seconds except 8 and 9 were at 50 seconds. My HR was 172-174 for most of the repeats. Considering this was my first track workout in a while I felt pretty good.

TM, felt good. A little tired from this weekends races and long run but I felt great after 2 miles.
