Running (AM) 2:11:47 [4] 21.0 mi (6:17 / mi)
slept:8.0

Santa Fe Trail from Baptist Rd to Parents house, felt great. Did a fast finish long run, ran 14 miles around 6:00-6:05 per mile then did 5 miles in 26:14 or 5:15 per mile. The first mile was 5:30 and each was a little faster. The last two miles were really slow I was just so tired. Ran the first 19 miles at under a 6 minute per mile pace (1:53).

Monument Valley for Nielson Challenge, felt okay. I was a little tired from traveling this week and I could tell during the warm up. Ended up running the Nielson 2 mile in 10:01 waited 10 minutes and then did 6-5-4-3-2-1 at tempo pace 5:20 with 1 minute rest between each. Did the workout with Adam R and Robby Y and I felt great during this workout. After the workout I was thinking I should have just gone and run the half marathon because 5:20 just seems slow. I need to work on my overall speed 5:20-5:30 feels really comfortable but once I get in the sub 5 range I just start to fall apart. I just cant seem to push under that pace and once I am done I never really feel too tired. The 300m track workouts should really help with my speed.

TM at Double Tree in Denver, felt good. It was so hot in the workout room and it made the run seem to take forever.

Running (AM) 1:05:08 [4] 11.0 mi (5:55 / mi)
slept:8.0 shoes: Saucony Fastwitch 3

TM, felt great. Did 6x1mile at tempo pace 5:21 with a 1 minute rest. They were a lot easier than last week would have gone a little faster but decided this week was not the week to increase the speed with the half marathon coming up this weekend in Loveland. Did the cool down at six minute pace would have run farther but had to head to Denver for work for a few days.

Running (Noon) 55:00 [5] 8.0 mi (6:52 / mi)

Easement and PW track, felt great. I did 10x300m going every two minutes. I walked/ran the 100m curve during the 1:10 rest this made it so I got to run two straights and one curve. The splits were 49,48, 47, 48, 48 then I did one easy lap, 3 minutes, to bring my HR down and the next set was 48, 47, 47, 48, 48. They were a little fast this week partly because I set the 300s up so I could run 2 straigths and 1 curve unlike last week. My max HR was 179 but most were in the 174-177 range.
