British champs!!!

It was like my aim for the year to win this!

Soo

We rolled up to the assembly an then i had to go like straight to the start! I had like a 4 minute warm up which was mainly tryin to cough up snot in my throat =( So my mouth tasted horriblee =(

At the start I met tom lawson (from barrow)s dad an he gave me a drink of sum lucozade sport so i was like =) till i remembered it made me feel like all pukey wen i drank it before i ran!

So great race preparation =D

I wasnt worried about people catching me up or anything, becos I couldnt see any contenders near me so i was like im just gona have to nail it an not get lost!!! =)

I set off an like my route choice to number one was like aaaah i have to win run that way!!!!!

so i did an then i had no idea wer to go when i got ther, so i stood around near the control for a bit bein confused by the gorse which wasnt on the map even tho the details said it was "well mapped"!!

The next controls wer good though, but i was a bit hesitant on four, an the marsh was hard to run in. Like around then i was a bit like yea okay this is good we can do this =)

i got 5,6 an 7 like without even thinkin, altho i was a bit low on 7. Then on number 8 i got to it, an punched it, but hten i checked the description an i thout it wasnt mine even tho it was =S i was runnin in circles round this little lake thing until i realised that id read my descriptions wrong =(

I was a bitt gutted about this so i nailed it towards 9, but i went a bit left, so i lost about 10/15 seconds bein lost =)

On number 10, i was still a bit like aaah must run fast, so i just caned it towards that path. randomly I missed the path, so i saw this M21 guy an i was like he looks good maybe he has the same control =) i followed him for a bit an tho he didnt hav my control i saw it whilst i was followin him so i punched it =D

I maybe lost about 15-25 seconds ther!

thenn number 11 i was fine like navigationalaly but i should have gone round the path insted of goin thru the crappy heather, but the heather by like number 7 was fine, so i dont think i cud hav known that, unless i was a local or somethin. Butt! I did go to a random control halfway to 11, so i reckon i could have maybe lost 10 seconds on this.

12,13,14,15,16 an 17 wer fine, nicely fast an easy =) so i was like yayy iv had a good run!!

Then on number 18 i was like aah how am i supposed to get to that! so i just kinda ran straight thru the brambles to it =)

After that i nailed it to the finish!! =)

I was really pleased with my run, an apart from that silly mistake at 8 i thout that i would do well! =)

After, I didnt warm down at all really, i was too excited =) So i went an got changed an then tom louth came an beat me by like 18 seconds =(

After that, apart from a couple of people, i just kept goin down the results board =(

So, its one of those runs were did well, but other people just did better. TBH i think that it wasnt really northener freindly area, I dont think ther were enough hills, or stuff liek that which im good at.

I think the JK will suit me more, or the selection race in scotland =)

I cant really see any massive ways to improve this run, an i have no idea how i could take 6 minutes off that time, but i think i just need to run faster, altho I think that it was a bit too flat for me really, an also i need to really really focus on not hesitatin an bein mor confident =)

So now! the JK is my aim to win!, well at least one day =P

So i think that 4th is good enough to get on tour hopefully! Im just gonna have to keep it up, an keep trainin so i can hopefully beat jonny =D

I was trying to be like resty! but i didnt really, and i ended up doin loadsa weights =)

Its all good tho! I wasnt really that tired =D

I was also like tryin to visualise myself havin a really good run at the british! an like pickin up my map an runnin proper fast and doing control flow and stuff =)

Were practising for moderation now in pe, so today we did rugby drills like passin an the long/short pass confusin thing =) Unfortunately im not amazin at catchin, so i think if i get picked for moderation i might put the whole years grades down! so i think people wont like that =(


Good to be outside though =)

Hardcore Intervals!

Lewis was skiving!! =O I think cos of his 12k yesterday! an Andy an Jon ( i think hes called jon but iv forgot his name even tho i speak to him evry week =P) wernt ther so i was the fastest one! =)

Unfortunately this ment i had to start like 100 - 200m behind evry1 on the fast loop things =( so i had to work really hard to catch evry1 up an it was well depresin! we did four loops an i managed to catch the other guy on the long loop on the last one =D I felt well happy! but like really sick an dizzy at the same time =P

All good fun tho =D

Burnham beaches thing! =)

Id been snowboarding last week so i wasnt feeling like 100% but i still thout i could have a good run =)

Sooo!!

I had a pretty good warm up then i set off the same time as Jamie! =D

I didnt really make massive mistakes on the corse, but I just kept making little ones on every control, an a couple of stupid ones wer i lost concentration an stuff.

I didnt think i was running that slowly, but my legs like didnt feel right, and felt really wierd, like they wernt my legs =S

i duno why i did so bad really, i think i just ran too slow. Its kinda made me feel less confident goin into the british, im not sure if i can win anymore!!! =P

Im just gonna have to nail it the whole way =)

Buttt!!

It was Great seeing everyone tho!!! so that made up for it =)
