Vs the evil Hessle again.. Started very poorly and went 3-0 down in the first half.. Decided at half time just to enjoy ourselves and play a game; one personal point for each girl you push/barge, 2points for the worst girl on their team :P Was actually really fun and we managed to get 2 goals to bring it to 3-2 :P :) probs could have won it, but it was good all the same :D

Champagne Race 6 - Dalton.

Forgot to take my watch so not sure what the exact distance was. Felt like i went off quite fast, then slowed, then got faster, then slowed again. Pace was a bit up and down, would have been good to have the watch.
Quite pleased with the run i think :)

York City Race - Womens Open. Straight Line = 4.5km

Didn't do too great, but not too annoyed with myself either. Messed up a few controls and was hesitant coming out of a lot because i hadnt planned ahead well. Heat was quite tiring again..

Absolutely boiling, so intensity 4 :P

Went quite a flat route, through the golf course and round up into Everthorpe.. Was alright, legs got a bit tired and i was a bit too hot..

York city race tomorrow :)

Did a bit of skipping and didnt realise how hard it was :p
then stretched, jogged and jogged and stretched to warm down :)

All the dancing and singing all night at before party, prom and after prom deserves an intensity 5 :D:D

Got 1 1/2 hours sleep between 5.30 and 7 this morning!! Then had a bit of a sleep from 1 till 5 :)

Before Prom from 4.30 till 6
Prom from 7-11
After prom from 11.30pm till 9.30am (we got told to go to bed at 4.30 =/)

Woo.. finally dragged myself out for a run :)

Felt really good at the beginning, but slowed toward the end cos started to get a stitch and then got the stitch coming down the hill at the end which wasnt great and made me go really slowly :P Dont like the fact that some idiots gone and made bike jumps in the middle of the path though!!
otherwise, was quite good :)

Lots of stretches before i went out and nornal jog.. still dont think its enough but it was getting a bit late when i went out soo cba :)

English Lit exam today which i was dreading actually turned out to be okay i think :)
Both the 'of mice and men' and 'inspector calls' questions were quite easy so i think they went well..

Food on thursday which i havn't revised for yet, so need to start that :p

Intensity 4 because the hill was a little tiring.. and all the downhill was on rubbish, bumpy track whcih hurt my ankle =/
Didn't enjoy it that much, but time was ok and hoping that the next omne will be better :)

Warm Up/Down 20:00 [3]

Jog around on the warm-up map, went to each control.. Also jogged on the path a bit.. Then stretched.

Orienteering 1:02:39 [4] 6.6 km (9:30 / km) +150m 8:31 / km

British Middle - 5.3km straight line.

Pfff. A couple of big mistakes knocked me back a bit and other, smaller, mistakes pushed me back even further. Also, sprained my right ankle on the way to number10, which really hurt so fannied around feeling sorry for myself then got up again.. probably shouldnt have carried on but was determined to finsh.

Lost time on the first part of the map mainly, the rest was ok..

Number2 - thought i knew where i was, then decided i wasnt there, then stood around for a bit and decided i was where i origanally thought i was!! didn't believe in myself, which is often half of my problem i think! -40seconds
Number4 - Went a safe route and hesitated a bit too much. -40seconds
Number8 - Went a really good way, got to the control, looked at the number and though 'thats not mine' when it was! =/ wandered around a bit and was confused because i couldnt see how it wasnt mine.. then looked at descriptions again and realised it was mine, so went back. -30seconds
Number9 - Hesitant on top near pillar thingy, didnt realise had to go down the crag, didnt look as descriptions properly (another big problem of mine). -25seconds.
Number13 - confused as was on the right hill, but couldnt find the control.. spent ages wandering around which was stupid really! Found the control as saw Sophie going into it, it was like flattend on the floor though so not visible at all! -3minutes
Number14 - Worst leg! Went along and was convinced was on the right set of crags so wandered around them for agess! The control was on the next set of crags. hmm. -5minutes 30seconds.
Number 15 - Hesitant/confused. -30seconds
Number24 - After #23, went around thebottom of the crags and for some reason thought i was at number24 already, but got confused and then realised i was in the wrong place; hadnt got to the wall yet. -1minute.

The rest was pretty much ok, a bit hesitant in the green but no mistakes.
Alice and Isla caught me up 12 and 14minutes near the end. Didnt realise it was that much at the time, but now am very annoyed! Could have avoided a lot of my mistakes today. Lost about 12mins 20seconds through the big mistakes. Oh dear - Must improve over summer!

Now resting and icing the ankle to hopefully make it better - i want to run on tuesday in the champagne race.

Warm Up/Down 30:00 [2]

Jogging and stretches for the heats and the finals :)

Orienteering 19:47 [4] 3.9 km (5:04 / km) +50m 4:46 / km

Sprint - Heat B - 2.7km

My aim was to have the best possible run, to see which final it landed me in.. Went completely not to plan and had an awful run, making mistakes on numbers 1, 3, 14 and 15.. Possible loss of about 2mins 30seconds which is really annoying!
Other than that, it was ok looking at it now, just very hesitant on some controls. Happy to make theB final :)

Orienteering 19:10 [4] 3.7 km (5:11 / km) +60m 4:47 / km

Sprint - Final B - 2.6km straight line.

Had a much better run than in the heats, thought the navigating was a little trickier, but made no big mistakes..
Lost a small bit of time on 3, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 14 which probably all adds up to about 1minute 20seconds - which is a lot for a sprint but im not too bothered about it :)
Came 9th in the B final, so happy with that i think :)

Run into Little Wold, 2 and a bit loops :)
Looks a lot different in there; greener, so a lot darker now aswell.. Felt quite tired at the beginning, maybe should do a bigger warm-up before running to get my legs into it.. will try that tomorrow i think :)
Otherwise, was ok.

First we ran for two laps round the field which i found easy in comparison to the others.. but then we did heading :( and trapping the ball, both of which i am rubbish at!
Was quite a good session though, despite the lack of people :)

Cannop Ponds Score Event :)

Did the 60minute score and managed to get 540points/600 which was quite good :)
Pleased with my route choices overall, could have maybe picked up a few more points with a better plan but not too bothered..
Was first woman/junior which was good, and i beat my dad :D

Jogged part-way to the start and walked a bit :)
Then stood lokking at the start and which way people were going :P
Did a bit more jogging and stretches etc :)

No warm down.. just walking.

Orienteering 1:17:33 [4] 8.7 km (8:55 / km) +270m 7:43 / km

FCC and BEOC Long Distance Final :)

It was quite good actually, a little surprised, but i think the area suited me.. Lost time on numbers 2, 3, 8, 13, 14 and 17, but nothing major so im quite happy :)

Think i ended up 10th in FCC standings, so was also pleased with that :)
Can't really be bothered to write a big thing about it, but overall pleased with what ive done:)

FCC Middle Final - Mallards Pike.

Was nice and i quite enjoyed the course, just a few small mistakes and hesitations let me down but came 7th W18 so was pleased with that :)

Was annoying because my results printed out as mispunched (was confused as to how i had though!), so i went back to thr car and cried for like 20mins, then calmed down and checked my control descriptions and noticed that i had punched the right one, so we went to complain and they said something was wrong with the box and i hadnt mispunched etc.. SO yehhh.. got my result re-instated and came 7th.

Light run into Swallow Vallets with Dad..
Used his M45L map from the JK 2007.. I didn't remember it at all!
Was nice, very runnable in parts and was felled in others. Good technique training i think, i enjoyed trying to find dads old controls :)
