Knees hurt from yesterday :(

swimming (Open Water) 25:00 [3] 1.2 km (20:50 / km)

Gladhouse Resivior - soooooooooooooo coldddddddddddddd now!
Took me so so long to warm up after. And a bit of screaming going in. But really nice once we were out there and on the bit with the sun! But definitely need to get some wetsuit socks/boots.

Running race 1:42:06 [4] 19.5 km (5:14 / km) +414m 4:44 / km

Tunnel Trail Race!
Had origonally planned to just jog this, but decided the day before to race properly and start with Amy who I work with who's a beast. We ran together for most of the first half, which was flat, which was so good as we were exactly the same pace and helped to keep motivated so well!
Then we got to the hills and I couldn't keep up any more! But only finished a minute or two apart so can't have lost that much time.
Second half was so tough, just felt so hard on the hills! But really really enjoyed it overall, although died at the finish and lower back totally seized up.
BUT I CAME 2ND (Amy won)!!! Amazing! :) :)

20km tunnel run tomorrow. Was just going to do it as a fun run with Gary, but just decided today to race and try and keep up with Amy... not very prepared but should be fun! But probably shouldn't have done that run yesterday... oh well. Excited.
9 AM

swimming 30:00 [3] 1.25 km (24:00 / km)

50 lengths at the pool. Really enjoyed it, felt tired and sneezy when I woke up as had a rubbish sleep, but felt so much better once I got going! And a nice steam after made my breathing feel better.

Running 46:56 [4] 9.1 km (5:09 / km) +176m 4:42 / km

Run around Glentress a bit, no idea where I just made it up, then looped back to Peebles a different way! Tried to keep a good, fast pace. I'd wanted to go spinning this morning in Kendal and even woke up at 6:15 and got dressed and ready to go... and then for some reason I couldn't understand the basics of how to open a door, and thought I was locked it. That's what 6:15 does to the brain. But good run.

Running (Moorfoot training) 55:00 [3] 10.0 km (5:30 / km) +267m 4:51 / km

The guy who plans the sessions normally wasn't there, so we had an easy session. Just did a normal run around the second part of the tunnel run route, but with a couple of random efforts in on some sections. Ridiculously windy on the hill!
A bit frustrating as he kept stopping every few hundred metres, at every junction/gate/everywhere to regroup, but would stop for ages... was getting cold! But good to do an easier session so not tired for the weekend. :) And fun finishing in the dark! Head torches next week.

swimming (Tri training) 1:00:00 [3]

Swim sesh - hard today! Felt tired, or maybe was just trying more - she kept telling me to lengthen my arms more and more and it was so hard! But good.
