Swimming race (w/wetsuit) 7:18 [3] 0.4 km (18:15 / km)
Swim portion of Land Between the Lakes Triathlon. Swimming in the wetsuit is always such a plus in comparison to no wetsuit. Easier flotation, plus warmer body/muscles. Last Friday in Cedar was waaaaay worse than this swim....
Note
Swim to Bike TA - 0:43
Biking race 58:51 [4] 21.0 mi (21.4 mph)
Bike portion of LBL Tri. Passed a few people on the bike, but got passed as well. Felt pretty good through the whole ride, but tried to push the pace a bit.
Note
Bike to Run TA - 0:30
Running race 21:51 [4] 3.6 mi (6:04 / mi)
Run portion of LBL Tri. Went out with a quick pace and passed a few more racers. No one passed me on the run... Probably could have caught up to one or two more people if I had pushed the pace hard, but with no one behind me, I kept things at an even pace to reserve my kick for a bit of running at the O-meet later on.
Finished 16/116 overall in a time of 1:29:11, 14 minutes behind 1st and 9 minutes behind 2nd places.
Orienteering race 1:08:59 [4] *** 8.4 km (8:13 / km)

Red Course at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Ran a good course, but had a few route choice mistakes that could have saved a bit of time. Felt a bit sluggish out the gate due to my earlier effort in the day, and could definitely feel the slow legs on the hills. Luckily Lebanon doesn't have anything too major - if we would have raced at Afton, I would have been in for a world of hurt....
Notes:
Went into early depression on #1
Erred too far north on #5
Went to eastern hill on #7
Ian's route choice (trail) to #10 was choice (I accidentally went towards #1 for the first half of the leg)
Went from #12-#13 w/Todd
Spent about 20 seconds looking for #13 w/Todd
Ran into a barbed wire fence on my way to #14 (if it's there, my legs will find it)
Exit out of #16 was thick and slow
Good overall effort - maybe navigated better by running slower.
Orienteering 45:00 [2] ** 2.5 mi (18:00 / mi)
6c
O-meet Control Retrieval - took it nice and easy....
Biking 45:00 [2] 7.0 mi (9.3 mph)
Rode a lap at Lebanon w/Mo & Tom. Couldn't pass up the opportunity being in such close proximity to the trails. Good times, and an excellent way to cap off a magnificent day!
